Evacuated Tube Solar Collectors
Evacuated tube solar collectors are more efficient than conventional
type collectors and include a 360-degree absorber for maximum benefit
throughout the day. In addition to converting maximum solar radiation
into heat, the vacuum ensures that radiation losses are minimal. Evacuated
tube collectors perform considerably better in cold, cloudy or windy conditions
and the higher efficiency of the evacuated tube type collector also means that
less roof area is required to achieve the required amount of solar gain.
The individual collector tube is made from robust borosilicate type glass,
a corrosion-proof raw material. Similar to a thermos flask with simple glass-to-glass
joint, the evacuated tube in tube collector insulates the heat transfer fluid. Being
hermetically sealed, the collector tube is condensation free, thus protecting the
inner coatings.
Each collector comprises 16 tubes and with a weight of only 20kg this helps to
reduce installation and maintenance costs.

ECO Friendly and Economical
Energy from Solar gain is transferred to the Solar Accumulator, which
effectively re-heats the feed water to the Lochinvar Gas-Fired Water Heater(s),
making reductions on the fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Click here
