Lochinvar Charger Water Heaters
are available in 12 models, 6 of which have Permanent Pilot and 6 with
Automatic Ignition. Storage Capacities from 150 to 370 litres are available
and have hot water recovery rates from 627 to 1920 litres per hour at
a temperature rise of 44oC. However temperatures of up to
82oC are achievable. Charger Water Heaters lend themselves
to the principles of 'System Separation' and offer a reliable supply
of hot water with economy and efficiency in mind. Operating on principles
of low storage and fast recovery these units are compact and can save
valuable plant room space.
Glass-lined Storage Tank
The Storage tank is made from A1 category welded steel and is internally
lined with a vitreous enamel coating protecting the tank from corrosive
elements and ensuring that the water remains contaminant-free. Cathodic
protection is provided by Sacrificial Magnesium Anodes or by the optional
Correx Electrical Anode Protection System (see Ancillary
options).
Maximum Heat Transfer - Minimal Standing Losses
Charger Water Heaters have multiple flueways running through the centre
of the Water Heater. A Stainless Steel baffle is suspended in each flueway
maximising the heat transfer and assisting the fast recovery of hot
water. CFC-free foam insulation ensures that standing losses are minimal
and the units are finished in an attractive grey enamel material.

Automatic Ignition Models
Automatic Ignition models have no standing pilot and can significantly reduce
gas consumption and when installed with WH18 Relay (see
Ancillary Options) are compatible with B.E.M.S. For maximum heat
retention Flue Dampers are also available.
